freeride

Freeriding and splitboard touring have always been my big passions in snowboarding. I have a huge amount of experience in touring and backcountry riding all over the Alps and further afield. I've made snowboard descents of big mountains from Ben Nevis to Mont Blanc.

I've been a Sainte Foy local since 2007 and I know the mountain like I was born here. There is ALWAYS good snow to be found in Sainte Foy, even if it all looks tracked-out from the lifts. The backcountry area beyond the resort boundaries is much, much bigger than the in-bounds terrain and, with the help of some local knowledge, you can ride secret stashes where the snow is still untracked and untouched by the sun or the wind.

I've also spent lots of time riding, guiding and running camps in and around the other resorts in the valley and I'm really happy to take people freeriding in Tignes / Val d'Isere, La Rosiere and Les Arcs.

I've been splitboarding since way before it was cool and I love leading splitboard tours deeper into the mountains, away from the lifts. Splitboards make it much easier to travel uphill in deep snow, opening up more terrain and more stashes of fresh snow. I can provide in-house splitboard equipment rental, with boards from Amplid and the latest Spark bindings.

I also run Backcountry and Splitboard camps in Sainte Foy and in other carefully-chosen resorts throughout the Alps.
