Snowboard Guide (Austrian Snowboardfuhrer)

I'm an Independent Snowboard Instructor based in Sainte Foy Tarentaise and available to work in Tignes, Val d'Isere, Les Arcs and La Rosiere. Over the years, I've developed a season-long program of Backcountry Camps based both locally and in adventurous locations around Europe and beyond.

I hold the BASI Snowboard level 4 ISTD, recognised worldwide, with full professional status granted in France and in Austria. I've been teaching since 2006 and fully-qualified since 2017. I love helping people to build and progress their riding, whether that's teaching new riders or helping advanced riders develop their carving, steeps, freestyle or backcountry technique.

Backcountry freeriding is my real passion. I've been an all-year-round Sainte Foy local since 2007 and know the mountain like I was born here. I've also held a season pass in Tignes / Val d'Isere since 2015 so my knowledge up there is also pretty encyclopaedic knowledge! As well as my snowboard instructor training, I chose to further my skills by putting myself through the Austrian Snowboard Guide ("Snowboardfuhrer") qualification, a much more in-depth backcountry and splitboarding training program, closer to Mountain Guide than to Instructor qualifications.  This is your reassurance that I can lead you safely in the mountains both here at home and on far-away trips.

Through the summer, I work as a mountain bike guide and head-honcho at White Room Mountain Biking.
